Handcrafted Walnut Cremation Urn with Maple Accents

Here is one of my most recent creations: a handcrafted solid walnut cremation urn with maple accents. Its design is simple and balanced, with a bold contrast. The walnut, with its deep tones and rich grain, brings a strong, comforting presence, while the maple traces a line of light through the wood—like a thread of memory.
 
A natural oil finish, applied in several coats, enhances the wood’s inherent richness. This satin finish is smooth to the touch, offering a gentle sheen that highlights rather than hides the grain. The interior of the urn receives the same attention, finished with a layer of hand-polished beeswax, creating a soft and smooth surface to cradle your loved one’s ashes.
