Companion Cremation Urn of Torrefied Ash and Maple

Here is my newest companion cremation urn, a beautiful and meaningful way to honor the memory of two loved ones. Made with the greatest care and attention to detail, this urn is made from torrefied ash and maple, a combination revealing great elegance in its contrast of wood species.  
 
Also called a Couple Urn or Double or Duo Urn and designed to hold the ashes of two people, this cremation urn includes a partition, providing a shared resting place while retaining individual spaces, allowing your loved ones to rest side by side forever . Not only does this companion urn serve as a beautiful tribute, but also as a symbol of the shared bond between two souls and eternal love.  
 
This piece is quite distinct by the choice and combination of its materials. The strong contrast of essences can recall Yin and Yang, a form of balance and complementarity found in all spheres of life, including that of the couple. Torrefied ash, with its rich, deep tones, may appear black but reveals warm, almost reddish reflections in the light. We clearly notice the annual rings of this wood which give it character while maple has a more subtle and regular grain which balances the ensemble.
