Ambrosia and Beautiful Curly Maple Cremation Urn

This cremation urn is handcrafted from a graceful pairing of ambrosia maple and dusty rose curly maple, two remarkable woods that celebrate the quiet beauty of nature. Carefully shaped by hand in my workshop, this piece is designed to offer a meaningful and lasting tribute to a cherished life.
 
The ambrosia maple is distinguished by its delicate markings—subtle streaks and tonal variations created by the natural passage of the ambrosia beetle. These organic features make every piece entirely unique, preserving a story written by nature itself. Complementing it is dusty rose curly maple, whose gentle blush tones and softly rippling figure bring warmth, movement, and elegance to the composition.
 
To preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the wood, I apply a premium eco-friendly oil finish by hand in several carefully polished coats. This finish provides lasting protection while revealing the richness of the grain with a soft satin sheen. The interior receives the same meticulous attention and is completed with an additional layer of hand-polished beeswax, creating a smooth, gentle resting place for your loved one's ashes.
